Job Summary
As our first Account Executive, you'll be on the front lines of our go-to-market efforts—owning pipeline, driving revenue, and helping shape the future of Spresso’s sales strategy.
You’ll identify high-potential ecommerce brands in categories like fashion/apparel, beauty and home goods, run strategic sales cycles, and close deals that move the needle. This is a foundational hire: you’ll have the opportunity to influence everything from sales process to customer segmentation as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and be accountable to a monthly and/or quarterly sales quota
- Manage a full sales funnel including prospecting, demoing and closing
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and aligning our product offerings accordingly
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve sales strategy and processes; proactively take on strategic initiatives to make these improvements
- Help develop sales documentation and materials
- Report on sales activity and performance to support revenue forecasting and and strategic optimization
- Collaborate closely with customer success to deliver smooth new customer handoff and ensure world-class customer experience
- Collaborate with product team to relay market insights and target audience sentiment
- Assist in the hiring and training of future sales team members as the company scales
Requirements
- 2+ years of SaaS sales experience in a closing role
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding quota
- Experience with the ecommerce/Shopify ecosystem (brand/tech/agency)
- Pride and commitment to becoming a subject matter expert in the area of ecommerce pricing strategy and data-driven ecommerce decision-making
- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment; adapts quickly to evolving needs and strategies
- Creative problem-solver, thinking outside the box to create win-win outcomes for the business and prospects
- Penchant and desire to build a sales function from the early stages
- Interest in technology, AI, and machine learning
- Proficient in conducting consultative sales calls and compelling product demos
- Strong communication, presentation and persuasion skills - confident in engaging multiple stakeholders
- Savvy operating sales tools & platforms including CRMs (e.g., HubSpot) and SEPs (e.g., Apollo)
- High level of drive, initiative, grit, and professionalism
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Organized and detail-oriented in your work
